A sixty minute documentary about competitive high school mariachi teams in south Texas.
OUTREACH, SOCIAL MEDIA
Rainlake Productions hired us to create and implement an outreach campaign to promote the nationwide PBS premiere of Mariachi High. We researched organizations interested in education, music education, and the advancement of the Latino community and combined them with the contacts they had already made through Working Film’s Reel Education program. With just six weeks until the premiere, we plowed through our lists and rallied organizations to spread the word about the premiere. In addition, we gathered momentum on Facebook and found a very active community that felt very passionate about the film. Our work even touched the white house, gaining attention during Vice President Biden’s party for National Hispanic American History Month.
- Created and implemented a strategy that helped garner 1.2 million views for national PBS premiere
- Connected with superfans to spread the word about the film
